| Pavatile at Decorex 2007
Pavatile launched several new product ranges at the Decorex exhibition in the Cape Town Convention centre this year. These include Pavalites — embedded programmable lighting for kerbing, as well as integrated illumination for wall cladding and other garden lights.
Several interior designers were fascinated by the effects achieved by using daisy-chained LEDs to create small spots on the cladding, highlighting the texture, and then watching them change colour slowly. (Flashier options are available by simply flicking a switch to another program.)
The kerbstone lighting can be programmed to change colours, indicating where vehicles should park. One option allows the lights to come on automatically when there is a power failure; even cell-phone integration is available: you can SMS your lights to switch on or off!
Pricing on these products will be made available soon. Contact us for details.

Pavatile's new Taung Limestone wall cladding is seen on the right. Here it is shown cast in its natural colour, but it is also available in any of Pavatile's standard colours. The embedded kerbstone lights highlight the texture of Pavatile's SanBlok 50 paving.

Pavatile's Magaliesberg Quartzite (with a splash of decorative red coloured grass from @Home). This simulated stone proved so realistic, that one supplier of genuine stone cladding was reported to have referred a relative to Pavatile. Pavatile's Magaliesberg Quartzite is, of course, a very cost-effective alternative. (This cladding is also available in other colours.) |
